Intro

Bring a bright, modern piece to your Shabbat table with this white kiddush cup and its matching plate, wrapped in a silver metal band cut into a pomegranate and vine pattern. The pomegranate, long a symbol of blessing and abundance, wraps the cup and repeats along the plate's edge in the same fine cutout work. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose Judaica has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used for Kiddush each Shabbat and Yom Tov, the cup pairs with its matching plate to catch any overflow in style rather than function alone. The white cup body is banded in a silver toned metal cutout of pomegranates and vines, echoed around the rim of the plate below. The cup measures 4.5 by 2.5 inches and holds approximately 7 ounces, while the plate spans 6 inches across.

Gift Ideas

The clean white finish and detailed metalwork make this set a strong choice for a wedding or engagement gift, especially for a couple furnishing their first Shabbat table. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah, an anniversary, or a housewarming for anyone building a Jewish home. The set reads as a considered gift for any milestone worth marking.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal cutout band looking sharp. Avoid soaking or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the silver finish over time.
