Intro

Bring color and meaning to your morning routine with this Netilat Yadayim cup, its purple body fading into a band of red aluminum. Cutout Hebrew lettering catches the light across the surface, set within the metal itself rather than painted on. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish ritual objects for over two decades, the cup brings craft to a daily practice.

Build and Use

Used for the ritual hand washing performed each morning and before meals, the cup is formed from anodized aluminum in two tones, purple above and red below. The Hebrew text is cut directly through the metal, and a pair of curved handles on either side allow for the alternating pours the ritual calls for. The cup measures 3.5 by 5 inches, sized comfortably for regular use.

Gift Ideas

The bright color and lasting build make this cup a fitting gift for a wedding, housewarming, or bar or bat mitzvah. It also suits an engagement or anniversary, or anyone setting up their own Jewish home. Its everyday use means it stays part of the recipient's routine well beyond the occasion it marks.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup clean with a soft, dry cloth to keep the anodized finish bright. Avoid abrasive scrubbers or harsh cleaners, which can dull the color and the cutout detail.
