Intro

Mark your doorway with a case that brings color to a daily ritual. This mezuzah case is banded in stripes of maroon, pink, and lilac anodized aluminum, with the letter Shin set at the front. A mezuzah holds a small parchment scroll inscribed with verses from the Torah, affixed to the doorposts of a Jewish home. The case is designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Formed from anodized aluminum in graduated bands of color, the case is built to hold a 10 cm scroll, sold separately. It measures about 0.5 by 6.5 inches, with a rounded cap and base that echo the striped body. The open channel along the back allows for straightforward mounting to a doorpost.

Gift Ideas

A mezuzah case is one of the first things people look for when marking a new home, making this a natural housewarming gift. It suits a wedding or engagement just as well, and works nicely for a bar or bat mitzvah or any milestone tied to a new space. Its bright, layered coloring gives it a lighter, more modern feel than a traditional case.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the aluminum finish bright. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excess moisture, which can dull the anodized color over time.
