Intro
Bring a sculpted centerpiece to your Seder table with a plate framed by a branch of brass pomegranates and leaves. Six polished stainless steel dishes sit within the dark branch, each one ready for its place in the Seder. The pomegranate stands for blessing and abundance, a fitting image for a table gathered at Passover. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.
Build and Use
Set at the center of the Seder table, the plate holds six separate dishes for the symbolic foods. The dishes are polished stainless steel, with the Hebrew names raised inside each one, and the sculpted brass pomegranates and leaves are fixed along the metal branch that circles them. The plate measures 12 inches across and 1 inch high, and weighs about 1.8 pounds.
Gift Ideas
Elegant and lasting, the Seder plate makes a natural wedding or engagement gift for a couple starting their first Jewish home. It suits a housewarming just as well, or an anniversary for those who host the Seder year after year. The metal finish means it can be handed down and brought out every Passover.
Care Instructions
Hand wash the dishes with mild soap and warm water, then dry them right away with a soft cloth. Wipe the branch and brass accents gently, and avoid abrasive cleaners so the metal keeps its shine.
