Intro

Add a soft shimmer to your washing station with a small netilat yadayim cup in silver faux marble. Glitter catches the light across the speckled resin surface, and two handles frame a rounded, graceful body. The cup is used for the ritual washing of hands before bread. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has been part of Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made of metal with a resin faux marble coating, the cup measures 3.5" x 4.5" and weighs about 0.8 pounds. The silver finish is flecked with glitter, and it is a faux marble effect rather than real stone. Two sturdy handles sit on either side of the body, and the flat base rests steadily on a counter or tray. Small and light, it fits easily beside a sink or in a compact kitchen.

Gift Ideas

Silver and softly sparkling, the cup makes a lovely housewarming gift for a new Jewish home. It suits a wedding or engagement just as well, or an anniversary for a couple who keep a beautiful table. A bar or bat mitzvah is another good fit, and the neutral color pairs easily with any kitchen.

Care Instructions

Wash the cup by hand with mild soap and warm water, then dry it with a soft cloth. Keep it away from abrasive pads and harsh cleaners so the faux marble finish and glitter stay bright. Avoid soaking it for long periods.
