Intro

Bring one piece to your table that carries both Hanukkah and Shabbat with a reversible turquoise menorah and candlestick set. Set on its two rounded feet, the bar shows nine holes for the Hanukkah lights with the Hanukkah blessing engraved along the edge. Turn it over and those same feet become cups for Shabbat candles, with the Shabbat blessing engraved along the opposite edge. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from anodized aluminum and finished in turquoise, the piece is hand painted by skilled artisans and engraved with Hebrew text on both long edges. One orientation holds nine candles for Hanukkah, the other turns the same two cups into a pair of Shabbat candlesticks. It measures 7.5 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 1.5 inches high, and takes standard candles in either use.

Gift Ideas

A single piece that serves two occasions makes it an easy choice for a wedding, engagement, or housewarming gift. It suits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary too, especially for someone building a Jewish home who wants fewer pieces on the shelf. Its color and dual purpose give it a place in the gift rotation well beyond the holidays it was made for.

Care Instructions

Wipe the piece clean with a soft, dry cloth after use. Remove any wax drips once fully cooled, and avoid abrasive cleaners so the turquoise finish stays bright.
