Intro

Bring one piece to the table that serves Hanukkah and Shabbat alike. Cast in anodized aluminum, the bar stands on two rounded cups as feet with nine holes and the Hanukkah blessing engraved along its edge, and flips so those same cups become candle holders with the Shabbat blessing engraved on the opposite side. The blue finish keeps the piece bold on a shelf or table between uses. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made of anodized aluminum, the piece works two ways depending on which side faces up. Set on its cups, the bar holds nine candles for Hanukkah with the blessing engraved along the long edge. Turned over, the cups rise as a pair of Shabbat candlestick holders, with the Shabbat blessing engraved on the opposite edge. The piece measures 7.5 by 2 by 1.5 inches and takes standard candles on either side.
