These Seven Species candlesticks bring color to the Shabbat table in a compact form. The pair holds the candles lit to welcome Shabbat, and they suit Yom Tov lighting just as well. Each one is a turned wood cylinder, hand painted in deep turquoise, with a polished metal insert set into the top.
Each holder takes a standard tea light, which drops into the metal cup and lifts out cleanly once cool. The design follows the Seven Species, the fruits of the land of Israel: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates. They are painted around the full circumference of both cylinders, so the pair shows a different part of the harvest from every angle. The candlesticks suit anyone who keeps a Shabbat table and wants color rather than plain metal, and their small footprint works on a crowded table or a narrow shelf.
Each candlestick is shaped from turned wood, hand painted and finished for a smooth, durable surface, with a metal insert that separates the flame from the wood. The pair stands approximately 4 inches tall and fits standard tea light candles. Every set is painted by skilled artisans, and comes from a design house that has been part of Jewish homes and rituals for over two decades.
