Intro
Wrap in tradition with a raw silk tallit appliqued with a Jerusalem cityscape across its corners and atarah. Layered fabric panels build up domes, gates, and stone facades in soft blues, golds, and greens, with Jerusalem imagery evoking heritage and connection. The design is worn during prayer, marking the wearer's place in an unbroken line of custom. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish ritual objects for over two decades.
Build and Use
Woven from a blend of raw silk, cotton, and polyester, the tallit is finished with appliqued panels stitched onto the body and atarah. It measures 77 inches by 37.5 inches, sized for full coverage across the shoulders and back. Tzitzit hang from each of the four corners, and the atarah marks the neckline for proper placement. A matching bag is included for storage between uses.
Gift Ideas
The tallit suits a bar mitzvah, a wedding, or any milestone marking a deeper commitment to Jewish practice. It also makes a fitting gift for an anniversary or for someone building a Jewish home. The rich colors and Jerusalem motif give it lasting presence well beyond the occasion it marks.
Care Instructions
Hand wash the tallit gently in cold water, or take it to a dry cleaner familiar with delicate silk blends. Lay it flat to dry and keep it away from direct sunlight and abrasive detergents to preserve the appliqued panels.
