Intro

Mark your doorpost with a mezuzah case that brings modern design to a timeless tradition, holding the scroll that carries the Shema within its walls. Cast in matte black metal, the case is cut through with a sleek, angular Shin, the letter that opens the word Shaddai and stands for God's protection over the home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades, the case pairs a modern silhouette with its enduring purpose.

Build and Use

Made from matte black metal with a cut silver toned Shin, the case measures 5.5 inches by 1 inch and holds a 12cm scroll, sold separately. The clean, tapered form suits a doorpost in any modern home. A rear opening allows the scroll to be inserted and positioned once acquired.

Gift Ideas

A striking, modern piece, this mezuzah case makes a fitting gift for a housewarming, a wedding, or a couple setting up a new Jewish home. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, marking a meaningful milestone with a piece for the home. Its understated black finish gives it broad appeal beyond ritual occasions too.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case clean with a soft, dry cloth to keep the finish free of dust and fingerprints. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can dull the matte black surface.
