Intro

Bring a clean, modern piece to your table with this Mayim Achronim cup and basin, used for the ritual hand rinsing before Grace After Meals. The cup's sculpted handle and tapered body sit inside a wide, matching basin, both cast in the same soft silver tone. The pared-down form favors simplicity over ornament, a quiet, modern take on a traditional set. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish ritual objects for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cast in aluminum and finished in a matte silver anodized coat, the set pairs a handled cup with a wide catch basin beneath it. The cup stands about 4.5 inches tall, and the full set measures roughly 4.5 x 3.5 x 3.25 inches, sized for a single setting at the table. The smooth finish resists tarnish and holds its color with regular use.

Gift Ideas

The clean, modern lines make this Mayim Achronim set a natural gift for a wedding, engagement, or housewarming. It suits a couple building a Jewish home, or a bar or bat mitzvah gift with lasting use at the table. Its simple shape also works well as a warm gift for any other occasion.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and basin clean with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can dull the matte finish, and dry both pieces fully before storing.
