Intro

Bring a splash of Jerusalem to your kitchen shelf or entryway with a tzedakah box that keeps giving a daily place in the home. Domes, rooftops, cypress trees and stone stairs crowd the surface in bright color, with the word Tzedakah written in Hebrew across the central building. Jerusalem imagery speaks to heritage and connection, and the lettering keeps the purpose of the box in view. Printed with the hand painted design of Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has been part of Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made of metal with a glossy, rounded-top finish, the box carries the artwork around its full surface. It measures 4 x 2 x 5.5 inches, a slim profile that fits easily on a shelf, counter or windowsill. The design is a reproduction of Yair Emanuel's original hand painted artwork, so the fine pen detail and colors come through crisply.

Gift Ideas

A tzedakah box with Jerusalem on it makes a natural housewarming gift for a family setting up a Jewish home. It suits a wedding or engagement, a bar or bat mitzvah, and an anniversary just as well. Its small size and bright artwork also make it an easy gift for a child or a teacher.

Care Instructions

Wipe the box clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Keep it away from abrasive cleaners and avoid soaking it so the printed artwork stays vivid.
