Intro

Set your table with a serving pair that carries meaning in its shape, a fork and spoon each cut into the silhouette of a pomegranate. The fork's tines rise through an open pomegranate outline, while the spoon's bowl is pierced with seed-like holes beneath a crowning pomegranate star. Long a symbol of blessing and abundance, the pomegranate suits any table where a meal is shared. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cast in polished metal, the set pairs a solid serving spoon with a slotted, fork-style companion, one for lifting greens and one for draining liquid as it serves. Each piece measures 10.5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide, sized for a standard salad bowl. The pomegranate cutout tops each handle, giving the pair a matching silhouette when laid side by side.

Gift Ideas

The pomegranate motif makes this set a natural choice for a wedding, engagement, or housewarming gift, especially for a couple setting up a first Jewish home. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, where a lasting, symbolic piece is welcome. Beyond these occasions, the polished finish and clean design make it a fitting gift any time a thoughtful table piece is called for.

Care Instructions

Hand wash the set in warm water and dry it promptly to keep the metal from spotting. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, which can dull the polished finish and blur the pierced pomegranate detail.
