Intro

Bring a touch of color to your doorpost with this metal mezuzah case, its center panel richly embroidered in shades of pink, coral, and blue. The beaded silver frame runs the length of the case, drawing the eye to the detailed needlework at its heart. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose Judaica has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades. A mezuzah holds the parchment scroll inscribed with the Shema, affixed to the doorposts of a Jewish home.

Build and Use

Cast in metal with an embroidered fabric panel set into the front, the case measures about 7 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 1.5 inches deep. It is sized to fit a 4.7 inch scroll, which is not included and should be sourced separately. Two loops at top and bottom allow it to be mounted easily to a doorpost.

Gift Ideas

A mezuzah case like this suits a housewarming for a new home, a wedding, or a bar or bat mitzvah. It also makes a thoughtful gift for an engagement or anniversary, or for anyone furnishing a Jewish home for the first time. The pink embroidery gives it a distinctive look among more traditional cases.

Care Instructions

Wipe the metal casing with a soft, dry cloth to keep its finish clean. Keep the embroidered panel away from moisture and direct sun so its colors stay vivid over time.
