Intro

Mark a new doorway with a mezuzah case cut in clean, modern black. The matte finish runs the length of the case, broken only by a raised silver Shin at its center, the letter that begins the word Shaddai. Set against the dark ground, the Shin catches the eye while keeping the design understated. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose Judaica has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cast in metal and finished in black with a silver-toned Shin, the case measures 3.5 inches long and 0.5 inches wide, sized for a standard mezuzah scroll. The scroll is not included and should be sourced separately from a qualified sofer. Open backing allows the case to mount easily to a doorpost.

Gift Ideas

A black metal mezuzah case suits a housewarming for a new home, a wedding, or an engagement equally well. It also makes a fitting bar or bat mitzvah gift, marking a milestone with something meant to last on the door for years. Its modern, understated look fits a range of home styles, making it easy to give without knowing every detail of the recipient's decor.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the finish clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excess moisture, which can dull the black coating over time.
