Intro

Mark your doorway with a mezuzah case etched in vivid color, its surface filled with a perched bird and pomegranates winding among painted vines. The pomegranate signals blessing and abundance, a fitting note for a case that guards the scroll within a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal and etched with a raised, colorful pattern, the case is finished in layered enamel across gold, blue, and red tones. It measures 6 inches long and holds a 4.7" scroll, sold separately. A brass finial and base cap the tube at each end, and an open back panel allows the case to be affixed directly to the doorpost.

Gift Ideas

A mezuzah case suits a housewarming above nearly any other gift, marking the doorway of a new home. It also fits a wedding, an engagement, or a bar or bat mitzvah, and works well for anyone furnishing their own Jewish home. The bright color makes it a lasting piece for a family room or an entryway.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the enamel bright. Keep it away from moisture and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the painted finish over time.
