Intro

Set a meaningful tone at your Shabbat table with a Kiddush cup and matching plate finished in white and gold. A pierced metal band circles the cup, cut through with pomegranates and set against the clean white base. Long a symbol of blessing and abundance, the pomegranate motif suits the cup where the week's blessing begins. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used for Kiddush on Shabbat and Yom Tov, the cup pairs with a matching plate that catches drips beneath it. The cup body is finished in white with a pierced gold metal band wrapped around its base, hand painted by skilled artisans. It stands about 2.5 inches tall with a 4.5 inch diameter and holds approximately 7 ounces, while the plate measures 6 inches across with a matching cutout border.

Gift Ideas

The cup and plate set makes a fitting wedding or engagement gift, especially for a couple setting up a Jewish home. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah, an anniversary, or a housewarming, marking the start of new Shabbat traditions. The white and gold finish gives it a formal look that reads well as a gift beyond these occasions too.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than submerging them in water. Keep both pieces away from abrasive cleaners so the gold finish and cutout detail stay bright.
