Intro

Bring a bright blessing to your home with a hamsa that carries the word Shalom over the rooftops of Jerusalem. The skyline glows with domes, arches, palms and a radiant sun, all cut into the open outline of the hand. Jerusalem imagery speaks to heritage and connection, and Shalom wishes peace on every room it enters. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal in the shape of a hand, the hamsa measures about 9 by 7 inches and hangs flat on a wall. Yair Emanuel's hand painted design is reproduced onto the piece in vivid color and sealed with an enamel lacquer finish. The open cut-outs between the buildings let light and wall color show through. Hang it by an entryway, in a hallway, or beside a window.

Gift Ideas

The hamsa makes a warm housewarming gift for friends settling into a new home. It suits a wedding or engagement, where a wish for peace is always welcome. It also fits a bar or bat mitzvah, an anniversary, or a gift for anyone building a Jewish home. Colorful and compact, it is an easy choice for someone who loves Jerusalem.

Care Instructions

Dust the hamsa gently with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry right away. Keep it away from harsh cleaners and constant moisture so the colors stay bright.
