Intro

Bring a meaningful ritual object into your home with this metal cutout tzedakah box, its surface cut through with a flowing pattern of pomegranates and vines. Tzedakah boxes hold coins set aside for charity, a practice many Jewish households keep as part of daily or weekly routine. The pomegranate, a symbol of blessing and abundance, suits a box meant to gather good deeds. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from gray finished metal, the box uses a laser cut technique to open the pomegranate and vine pattern clean through its walls. The box measures 3 x 2 x 4.5 inches, sized to sit on a shelf or countertop without taking up much room. A slotted top allows coins to be dropped in for regular tzedakah giving.

Gift Ideas

The tzedakah box makes a thoughtful gift for a housewarming, wedding, or bar or bat mitzvah, marking the start of a new home or a new stage of Jewish practice. It also suits an engagement or anniversary, especially for a couple building their own rituals together. Its size and design make it a welcome gift beyond those occasions as well.

Care Instructions

Wipe the metal surface with a soft, dry cloth to keep the cutout pattern clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excess moisture, which can dull the gray finish over time.
