Intro

Carry Havdallah with you wherever the week ends, with a purple set small enough for a bag. A band of metal cutout vines wraps each cylinder, drawn in flowing scrolls with the purple finish showing through the openings. Climbing vines are a classic image of growth and renewal. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used at the close of Shabbat, the set pairs a candle holder with a spice container that fits together as one compact piece. Both are formed from anodized aluminum in a purple finish, wrapped in a polished metal cutout band. The spice container has a screw-on lid pierced with small holes, and the candle holder is threaded for a snug fit. Each piece measures 2 by 2 inches and the set stands 3.5 inches tall, weighing under a pound.

Gift Ideas

Compact and distinctive, the set makes a thoughtful wedding or engagement gift for a couple building a Jewish home. It suits a bar or bat mitzvah, a housewarming, or an anniversary just as well. It is also a practical choice for a student, a frequent traveler, or anyone who keeps Havdallah on the road.

Care Instructions

Wipe the set clean with a soft, dry cloth. Clear away any candle wax gently once it has cooled, and keep the pieces away from water and abrasive cleaners so the finish stays vivid.
