Intro

Mark your doorway with a case that catches the light through its own pattern. Cut from metal in a repeating Star of David motif with a turquoise rim, this mezuzah case frames a small cutout Shin at its center. The Star of David carries centuries of Jewish identity and protection, a fitting image for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made to hold a 10 cm (about 4 inch) scroll, sold separately, the case is affixed to a doorpost as called for by tradition. The body is cut from metal in a dense Star of David lattice, with a turquoise band running along the top and bottom edges. The case measures about 1 inch by 5 inches, keeping a slim profile against the doorframe.

Gift Ideas

A mezuzah case suits a housewarming above almost any other gift, marking the start of a new home. It also works well for a wedding, an engagement, or a bar or bat mitzvah, and for anyone furnishing their first apartment. The turquoise and metal finish gives it a bright, modern look that suits a range of decor.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or moisture, which can dull the finish and the cutout pattern over time.
