Intro

Mark your doorway with a mezuzah case cut in a dense pomegranate pattern, the gold metalwork layered over a soft backing so light plays through the openwork. The pomegranate has long stood for blessing and abundance, a fitting motif for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal in an open lattice of pomegranates, the case is sized for a 12 cm scroll, which is not included. The cylinder measures about 1 by 5.5 inches, with removable end caps for placing the scroll inside. The gold finish sits over a pale backing that shows through the cutout pattern.

Gift Ideas

A pomegranate mezuzah case suits a housewarming, a wedding, or a gift for a couple setting up a new home. It also makes a thoughtful choice for a bar or bat mitzvah or an engagement, marking a new chapter with a lasting piece for the door. Its size and detail make it easy to give alongside other gifts.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal cutout clean. Keep it away from moisture and abrasive cleaners so the gold finish stays bright.
