Intro

Mark a doorway with a mezuzah case cut in layered metal, its surface opened into a dense pomegranate pattern over a purple ground. The pomegranates stand for blessing and abundance, fitting for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Sized to hold a 12 cm scroll, sold separately, the case measures 5.5 inches by 1 inch. Cut from metal in a fine, dense pattern, it reveals a purple layer beneath the openwork design. The cylindrical form suits most doorframes and mounts easily at the entrance.

Gift Ideas

The case suits a housewarming for a new home, a wedding, or a bar or bat mitzvah. It also makes a fitting gift for an engagement or anniversary, or for anyone setting up a Jewish home for the first time. Its color and detail give it a bright, personal feel as a gift outside these occasions too.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal clean. Avoid water and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the cutout finish over time.
