Intro

Mark your doorway with a mezuzah case cut in a flowing pomegranate pattern, the metal laid over a bright red backing that shows through the openwork. The pomegranates carry their traditional meaning of blessing and abundance, fitting for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made for a 5.5 inch scroll, sold separately, the case is cut from metal in a detailed pomegranate lattice set over a red backing panel. The cutout technique lets the color show through the open pattern along the full length of the case. It measures 5.5 x 0.5 x 1 inches, sized to sit neatly on a standard doorpost.

Gift Ideas

A pomegranate mezuzah case makes a fitting housewarming gift for anyone moving into a new home. It suits a wedding or engagement gift just as well, marking the start of a household, and works for a bar or bat mitzvah too. Its compact size makes it easy to give alongside a card or as part of a larger gift.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep the metal clean. Avoid water and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the finish and catch in the cutout pattern.
