Intro

Mark a yahrzeit with a memorial candle holder that turns a simple flame into something considered. A cutout metal sleeve in soft gray wraps around the candle, its pomegranates and scrolling vines framing the word Yizkor at the center. The pomegranate stands for blessing and abundance, a fitting note on a piece meant for remembrance. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal and finished in a muted gray tone, the holder is built to slide over a standard glass memorial candle. It measures 3.5 by 3.5 by 3 inches, sized to sit easily on a shelf, table, or windowsill. The open cutwork lets the candlelight show through the pomegranate and vine pattern as it burns.

Gift Ideas

A memorial candle holder like this suits a shiva visit, a yahrzeit, or a Yom HaZikaron remembrance. It also makes a meaningful gift for someone newly observing a loved one's passing, or for a family building their own set of memorial pieces. Its quiet design makes it appropriate to give without further explanation.

Care Instructions

Wipe the metal cutout clean with a soft, dry cloth. Remove it before the candle burns low to avoid contact with the flame, and keep it away from water and abrasive cleaners to preserve its finish.
