Intro

Set the tone for a sweet new year with a honey dish cut in a lace of pomegranates and Hebrew text. A round glass insert sits at the center of a silver metal plate, its surface laser cut into a dense pattern of pomegranates and vines. The pomegranate motif carries its familiar meaning, blessing and abundance for the year ahead. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose Judaica has furnished Rosh Hashanah tables for over two decades.

Build and Use

Set out for Rosh Hashanah, the dish holds honey for the apple dipped at the meal. Cut from silver toned metal in an open lattice pattern, the plate holds a round glass bowl at its center to contain the honey. The dish measures 6.5 inches across by 1 inch tall, with the glass insert lifting out easily for filling and cleaning.

Gift Ideas

Bright and detailed, this honey dish makes a fitting Rosh Hashanah gift for a housewarming or a wedding. It suits a bar or bat mitzvah gift as well, or a gift for someone building a Jewish home. The design carries its meaning well beyond the holiday itself, making it a welcome gift any time of year.

Care Instructions

Wipe the metal plate clean with a soft, dry cloth, and wash the glass insert separately by hand. Keep the metal away from abrasive cleaners so its finish stays bright.
