Intro

Welcome blessing into your home with a hamsa framed in pomegranate branches. Ripe red fruit and green leaves wind around the outline, and at the center a Hebrew and English home blessing wishes happiness, fortune and success on all who live there. The pomegranate is a symbol of blessing and abundance, a fitting image for the entryway or the living room wall. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal in the shape of a hand, the hamsa measures 9" x 7" and weighs under half a pound, light enough to hang on any wall. Yair Emanuel's hand painted design is reproduced onto the piece and finished with an enamel lacquer for a glossy, lasting color. The pomegranate branches are cut out around the edge, so the wall shows through the frame. The blessing is set in blue at the center, in Hebrew above and in English below.

Gift Ideas

A blessing for the home makes a natural housewarming gift, and it suits a wedding or engagement just as well. It is a thoughtful choice for a couple building their first Jewish home, or for family moving into a new place. It also works for an anniversary, or any occasion when you want to wish a household happiness and success.

Care Instructions

Dust the hamsa gently with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, wipe with a lightly damp cloth and dry right away, and keep it away from harsh cleaners so the enamel lacquer stays glossy.
