Intro

Bring protection and blessing into your home with a large hamsa wall decor, its silver pomegranate cutout laid over a turquoise metal plate beneath. The pomegranates scattered through the openwork stand for blessing and abundance, a fitting theme for a symbol long hung at the entrance of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from two different metals in two different colours, the hamsa layers a silver cutout overlay atop a turquoise plate beneath. The piece measures 6.5 by 4.5 inches and comes fitted with a hanging loop at the top, ready to mount on any wall. Its cutout pattern lets the turquoise plate show through the silver ornamentation, giving the hamsa depth and dimension.

Gift Ideas

This hamsa suits a housewarming or wedding, marking a new home with a piece meant to watch over it. It also fits an engagement or a bar or bat mitzvah, and works well as a gift for someone building a Jewish home. The turquoise and silver combination keeps it a fitting gift for nearly any occasion.

Care Instructions

Wipe the hamsa clean with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the metal finish. Keep it away from excess moisture to preserve the turquoise colour over time.
