Intro

Bring a touch of shine to your Shabbat table with a kiddush cup set carved in a lace of pomegranates. The cup and its matching plate are wrapped in a gold cutout band that stands out against the brushed aluminum body. Long a symbol of blessing and abundance, the pomegranate motif suits the cup that opens Shabbat and Yom Tov. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used for Kiddush on Shabbat and holidays, the set pairs a cup with a matching plate cut in the same pomegranate pattern. Both pieces are cast in aluminum and finished in gold, with the pomegranate lattice pierced through in relief around the cup and rim. The cup measures 4.5 by 2.5 inches and holds about 10 ounces, while the plate spans 6 inches across and catches the cup at its base.

Gift Ideas

The pairing of cup and plate makes this a natural gift for a wedding, engagement, or bar or bat mitzvah. It suits a housewarming for a couple setting up a Jewish home, or an anniversary gift with lasting shine. The gold and aluminum finish also gives it a place as a warm gift beyond those occasions.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth to keep the gold finish bright. Avoid abrasive cleaners or soaking the pieces, and dry them fully after any contact with water.
