Intro

Bring a piece of Jerusalem to your Shabbat table with this pair of hand painted wood candlesticks, shaped to form a Star of David when joined together. Each piece is painted with scenes of Jerusalem's stone houses and courtyards, rendered in warm, layered color against deep blue. Jerusalem imagery carries a sense of heritage and connection, fitting for the candles that mark the start of Shabbat. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Made of hand painted wood, the two star-shaped pieces fit together into a single six-pointed Star of David and separate into individual holders. Each piece measures about 4 x 4 x 2 inches, sized for a standard tealight candle. The compact form and sturdy wood construction make the pair easy to pack, suiting travel or a small Shabbat table.

Gift Ideas

The Jerusalem design and compact size make this a fitting gift for a housewarming, wedding, or bar or bat mitzvah. It also suits an engagement or anniversary, especially for someone who travels or keeps a smaller home. The paired star design adds a personal touch for anyone building a Jewish home.

Care Instructions

Wipe the wood clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than water, to protect the hand painted finish. Keep the candlesticks away from direct sun and excess moisture so the colors stay vivid.
