Intro

Set the scene for your Seder with a plate that carries the whole Exodus story across its surface. Painted in flowing blues and golds, the design follows the Israelites' journey from Egypt through the parting sea, with six small bowls arranged around the rim for the symbolic foods. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish ritual tables for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used at the Passover table to hold the Seder's symbolic foods, the plate is hand painted on wood and measures 13 inches by 13 inches, with a depth of about 1.5 inches. Six matching bowls, each hand painted with scenes from the same story, sit around its edge to hold the individual items. The wood base gives the piece sturdy weight for a table centerpiece.

Gift Ideas

This set makes a striking Passover gift for a family building their own Seder traditions, or for a wedding or housewarming where Judaica is welcome on the table. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah gift for a family who loves ritual art, or an engagement gift for a couple setting up a Jewish home. The scale and color make it a centerpiece as much as a gift.

Care Instructions

Wipe the plate and bowls clean with a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or using abrasive cleaners, and keep the set away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the painted colors.
