Hand Painted Wood Salt & Pepper Shakers, Seven Species

• Hand painted wood
• Seven Species design
• 4" tall
• Wedding or housewarming
• Designed by Yair Emanuel

Intro

Bring color to your table with a hand painted set of salt and pepper shakers, each one shaped in a tall, tapered block and finished by hand. Pomegranates, grapes, and winding vines from the Seven Species climb across the surface in bright, layered paint. The Seven Species represent the fruits of the land of Israel, a theme rooted in the table itself. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Carved from wood and hand painted, each shaker in the set stands about 4 inches tall with a 1.5 by 1.5 inch base. The pair is shaped with a gentle waist and holds salt and pepper for everyday use or the Shabbat table. Each piece is painted individually, so brushwork and color depth vary slightly from one shaker to the next.

Gift Ideas

The bright Seven Species design makes this pair a natural gift for a housewarming, wedding, or engagement. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, especially for someone building a Jewish home. The size and color make it a welcome addition to any kitchen table, gift-worthy well beyond those occasions.

Care Instructions

Wipe the shakers clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than soaking them in water. Keep them away from direct heat and abrasive cleaners so the hand painted finish stays bright.
