Intro

Add meaning to your Seder table with Miriam's Cup, hand painted with the scene of the women dancing and celebrating at the shore of the sea. The name מרים is inscribed in flowing Hebrew script across the cup's blue background. The imagery recalls the women's song and dance after the crossing, a moment of joy and faith. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Turned from wood and finished in hand painted lacquer, the cup holds 60 ml and stands 5.5 inches tall on a 2.5 inch base. A matching wooden plate, 5 inches in diameter, carries the same painted scene and sits beneath the cup at the table. The pair is light to lift and set beside the Seder plate each year.

Gift Ideas

The cup and plate make a thoughtful gift for a Passover Seder host, a bat mitzvah, or a housewarming for a family building their Jewish home. They also suit a wedding or engagement gift for a couple who will keep their own Seder table. The rich color and detailed scene give it a place as a lasting keepsake beyond the holiday itself.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid soaking or running them through the dishwasher, since water can dull the lacquer finish and painted detail over time.
