Intro

Bring a piece of Jerusalem to your doorway with this hand painted mezuzah case. The rounded wood cylinder carries a bright, layered skyline of domes, arches and stone facades, rendered in warm oranges and cool blues. Jerusalem imagery speaks to heritage and connection, a fitting theme for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose Judaica has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from wood and finished by hand with painted detail, the case measures 5 inches long and holds a 4 inch scroll, sold separately. A slot at the back allows for mounting, and the opening at the top accepts a standard klaf. The compact size suits an interior doorpost as easily as a front entrance.

Gift Ideas

A mezuzah case makes a meaningful gift for a housewarming, a wedding, or a bar or bat mitzvah. It also suits an engagement or a new baby, marking the start of a home. The Jerusalem design gives it lasting appeal well beyond any single occasion.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface clean. Avoid water and abrasive cleaners, which can dull or lift the paint over time.
