• Designed by Yair Emanuel

Intro

Bring the Seven Species to your doorpost with this hand painted wood mezuzah case. Each side is finished by hand with pomegranates, grapes and wheat rendered in bright, layered color against a deep blue border. The Seven Species recall the fruits of the land of Israel, a fitting motif for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Carved from wood and finished by hand, the case is painted on all sides and holds a scroll up to 4 inches long, sold separately. The case itself measures about 1 by 5 inches, sized for a doorpost or entryway. A slit along the back holds the scroll securely in place once affixed.

Gift Ideas

Bright and detailed, this mezuzah case makes a natural housewarming gift for a new home. It suits a wedding, an engagement, or a bar or bat mitzvah just as well, and works nicely as a gift for someone building a Jewish home. The color and craftsmanship keep it a welcome gift beyond those occasions too.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case clean with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it away from moisture and abrasive cleaners so the painted finish stays bright over time.
