Intro

Mark your doorway with a mezuzah case hand painted in shades of blue and purple, showing a layered Jerusalem street scene of homes, arches, and rooftops. Jerusalem imagery carries a sense of heritage and connection, fitting for the case that holds the words placed at every door. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Hand painted on wood, the case holds a scroll up to 6 inches long, sold separately. It measures 6 inches by 1 inch by 0.5 inches, sized for a standard doorway mezuzah. The wood is cut and finished before the scene is painted directly onto its surface, so brushwork and color vary slightly from piece to piece.

Gift Ideas

A mezuzah case suits a housewarming for a new home, a wedding, or a gift for a couple setting up a Jewish household. It also fits an engagement or a bar or bat mitzvah, marking the start of a new chapter with something meant to stay on the door for years. The Jerusalem scene gives it a lasting, personal feel beyond any single occasion.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface clean. Keep it away from moisture and direct sun, which can dull the colors over time.
