• Designed by Yair Emanuel

Intro

Mark a doorway with a mezuzah case hand painted with the walls, gates, and towers of Jerusalem. Rendered in warm color across small wood panels, the scene calls to mind heritage and connection to the holy city. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has filled Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Mounted beside a doorway to hold the mezuzah scroll, the case is hand painted on wood and measures about 5 inches long and 1 inch wide. It takes a scroll of roughly 4 inches, sold separately. A small hole near the top allows for simple hanging or affixing to the doorpost.

Gift Ideas

A fitting gift for a housewarming, a new apartment, or a wedding, the case suits anyone setting up a new home. It also makes a thoughtful choice for a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary. Its small size makes it easy to give alongside a scroll or as part of a larger housewarming gesture.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface clean. Keep it away from moisture and direct sun so the colors stay bright over time.
