Intro

Mark a doorway with a hand painted mezuzah case, its panels filled with golden birds resting beside ripe pomegranates. The pomegranate stands for blessing and abundance, a fitting image for the threshold of a home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has filled Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Hand painted on wood, the case is finished with layered color across each panel and holds a scroll up to 4.7 inches long, sold separately. The case measures 1 by 0.5 by 6 inches, sized for placement on a doorpost. A slot on the back allows the scroll to be inserted and the case mounted with the opening facing the room's entry.

Gift Ideas

The mezuzah case makes a lasting housewarming gift for a new home, and suits a wedding or engagement just as well. It is also a fitting choice for a bar or bat mitzvah, marking a new stage with something for the home. Its color and detail make it a welcome gift whenever someone is settling into a new space.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface clean. Keep it away from direct water and abrasive cleaners so the colors stay bright over time.
