Intro

Bring a handcrafted touch to your Shabbat table with this wood Mayim Achronim set, its cup and matching bowl hand painted in flowing blues with grapes, pomegranates, and wheat. The Seven Species motif calls back to the fruits of the land of Israel, a fitting image for the ritual it accompanies. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used before the Shabbat and Yom Tov meal, the cup and bowl are hand painted wood, each finished with the same layered color and Seven Species imagery. The cup measures about 3.5 by 2 inches, and the wider bowl beneath it measures about 5 by 1 inches. Together they form a matched pair that sits neatly at the table's edge until needed.

Gift Ideas

The set makes a thoughtful gift for a wedding, housewarming, or bar or bat mitzvah, and suits anyone setting up their first Jewish home. Its painted detail also lends itself well to an anniversary or engagement gift. Beyond ritual occasions, the color and craftsmanship make it a welcome gift any time.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and bowl clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than soaking them in water. Keep the set away from direct sun and abrasive cleaners so the painted finish stays vivid.
