Intro

Set the tone for your Seder with a matzah plate painted in deep blues and touched with pomegranate red. The wood surface is hand painted with imagery of the Seven Species, the fruits and grains tied to the land of Israel. Pomegranates anchor the center, a symbol of blessing and abundance on a table already full of meaning. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used to hold the matzah at the Passover Seder, the plate is crafted from hand painted wood with raised, sculpted sides. It measures 9.5 by 9.5 by 2.5 inches, giving it enough depth to hold a stack of matzah securely. The interior deepens to a rich navy, letting the painted border and central motif stand out.

Gift Ideas

A vivid centerpiece for the Seder table, this matzah plate makes a fitting gift for a housewarming, a wedding, or an engagement. It suits anyone furnishing a Jewish home for the first time, or a family looking to refresh their Passover table. The bold color and detailed painting also make it a welcome gift outside the holiday season.

Care Instructions

Wipe the plate clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking it or using abrasive cleaners, which can dull the hand painted finish.
