Intro

Set the centerpiece of your Seder table with a matzah plate painted in vivid layers of color. A Jerusalem cityscape fills the center, framed by grapevines, pomegranates, and birds along the sloped sides. Jerusalem imagery carries a sense of heritage and connection, fitting for the holiday that retells the journey home. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used at the Seder to hold and present the matzah, the plate is hand painted wood with a deep, square well. Skilled artisans apply the design in layered color across the wood surface. The plate measures 9.5 by 9.5 by 2.5 inches, with a shallow tray suited to a stack of matzah at the center of the table.

Gift Ideas

Bright and detailed, this matzah plate makes a fitting Passover, housewarming, or wedding gift for anyone who hosts a Seder. It also suits an engagement or anniversary gift, or a gift for someone furnishing a first Jewish home. The design carries its appeal well beyond the holiday itself.

Care Instructions

Wipe the plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than soaking it in water. Keep it away from direct sunlight and abrasive cleaners so the painted colors stay bright.
