Intro

Bring the story of the Exodus to your Shabbat table with a hand painted Kiddush cup rendered in flowing blues and warm figures. The scene follows the Israelites crossing toward freedom, a fitting image for a cup lifted at the start of rest. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has shaped Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used for Kiddush on Shabbat and holidays, the cup is carved from wood and hand painted by skilled artisans in a durable lacquer finish. It stands 5.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide, holding about 2 ounces, and comes with a matching 5 inch wooden plate to catch and complete the set.

Gift Ideas

The painted scene and matching plate make this a striking wedding or engagement gift, especially for a couple starting Shabbat traditions of their own. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah, an anniversary, or a housewarming for a new Jewish home. The vivid colors make it a memorable gift for any occasion tied to Shabbat.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than submerging them in water. Keep both pieces away from direct sun and abrasive cleaners so the lacquer finish and colors stay bright.
