Intro

Set a place for Elijah with a kiddush cup painted in rich Jerusalem imagery, stone walls and rooftops circling the cup beneath the Hebrew word for Elijah. The city motif carries a sense of heritage and connection, fitting for the cup traditionally poured and left untouched at the Seder table. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has brought color to Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Hand painted on wood and finished in lacquer, the cup stands 5.5 inches tall with a 2.5 inch base and holds about 2 ounces. It comes with a matching wooden plate, 5 inches in diameter, painted in the same Jerusalem scene. The set is light in the hand and finished to hold its color for years of use at the table.

Gift Ideas

This cup makes a meaningful gift ahead of Passover, whether for a family building their own Seder traditions or a couple furnishing a new home. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah, a wedding, or an engagement, where a piece of lasting Judaica carries more weight than a card. The Jerusalem motif gives it a personal, rooted feel beyond the holiday itself.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than soaking them in water. Keep both pieces away from harsh detergents and abrasive scrubbing so the lacquer finish stays bright.
