Intro

Bring a piece of Jerusalem to your Shabbat table with this large Kiddush cup and matching plate. The cup and plate are hand painted with a vivid, layered cityscape of Jerusalem, its rooftops and archways rendered in warm blues, pinks, and golds. The Jerusalem motif carries a sense of heritage and connection, a link to the city at the center of Jewish tradition. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Used for Kiddush on Shabbat and Yom Tov, the cup rests on a matching plate that catches it at the base. Carved from wood and hand painted by skilled artisans, the set is finished in a protective lacquer that keeps the colors bright. The cup stands 5.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide, holding approximately 80 ml, and the plate measures 5 inches across. This is the large size in the design; a smaller 60 ml version is also available.

Gift Ideas

The scale and detail of this set make it a strong choice for a wedding or engagement gift, especially for a couple starting their own Shabbat table. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah, an anniversary, or a housewarming for someone building a Jewish home. The Jerusalem design gives it a lasting, meaningful quality well beyond any single occasion.

Care Instructions

Wipe the cup and plate clean with a soft, dry cloth rather than submerging them in water. Keep the set away from harsh detergents and prolonged moisture so the lacquer finish and painted colors stay intact.
