Intro

Bring protection and warmth into your home with a large hamsa hand painted on wood, its surface filled with grapevines, pomegranates, and wheat in a Seven Species design. The motif calls to mind the fruits of the land of Israel, a theme of blessing woven through the piece. Rich blues and greens surround the hand shape, itself a symbol of protection found across Jewish homes. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has furnished Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from wood and hand painted by skilled artisans, the hamsa carries fine detail across its curved form. It measures 6 by 3.5 inches, sized for a wall, doorway, or shelf. A hanging cord and beaded accent at the top let it hang freely, ready to display as soon as it arrives.

Gift Ideas

Sized well for a housewarming, the hamsa suits anyone setting up a new home or looking for a lasting piece for their walls. It also makes a thoughtful wedding, engagement, or bar or bat mitzvah gift, and works for an anniversary too. Its blend of color and symbolism gives it a place beyond any single occasion.

Care Instructions

Dust the hamsa gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep its painted surface clean. Keep it away from direct moisture and harsh cleaners, which can dull the hand painted color over time.
