Intro

Bring a collectible touch to your Hanukkah display with this large hand painted dreidel, its four sides wrapped in a colorful Noah's Ark scene. Animals, a dove, and a rainbow circle the wooden body, set on a matching painted stand for year-round display. This version carries the letter shin, for nes gadol haya sham, the phrase used outside Israel. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has filled Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Carved from wood and hand painted by skilled artisans, the dreidel stands about 4 inches tall on its base, with a 2 by 2 inch footprint. It comes with a painted wooden stand, so it can be displayed upright between uses. As a decorative collectible rather than a toy, it is best kept on a shelf or table where its colors and detail can be seen.

Gift Ideas

The dreidel and stand make a fitting Hanukkah gift for a housewarming, a bar or bat mitzvah, or a family celebrating the holiday for the first time in a new home. Its display stand also suits it as an engagement or wedding gift for anyone building a Jewish home. Collectors of Judaica and Yair Emanuel's work will appreciate it as a standalone piece as well.

Care Instructions

Wipe the dreidel and stand with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface clean. Keep the piece away from direct moisture and harsh cleaners so the colors stay bright over time.
