Intro

Add a piece of Jerusalem to your Hanukkah display with this hand painted wooden dreidel. Each face is painted with a pink toned Jerusalem cityscape, and the fourth face carries the letter shin, for nes gadol haya sham, the phrase used outside Israel. Jerusalem imagery carries a sense of heritage and connection. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, this dreidel is meant as a decorative collectible rather than a toy.

Build and Use

Carved from wood and hand painted by skilled artisans, the dreidel stands about 3.5 inches tall on its included painted stand. The cityscape wraps each of the four faces in shades of pink, gold, and cream. The stand keeps the dreidel upright for display on a shelf or table.

Gift Ideas

This dreidel suits a Hanukkah gift, a housewarming for a new Jewish home, or an addition to a Judaica collection. It also works well as a bar or bat mitzvah gift or a small keepsake for a wedding or engagement. Its size and stand make it easy to display year round, not only during the holiday.

Care Instructions

Wipe the dreidel and its stand with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface clean. Keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight so the colors stay vivid over time.
