Intro

Bring a colorful blessing into your home with this hand painted metal hamsa, its open palm filled with a Hebrew inscription of peace, happiness and success. Bright butterflies, flowers and a pair of birds surround the lettering in layered enamel color. The hamsa itself is a traditional symbol of protection and good fortune, long hung in Jewish and Middle Eastern homes. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has filled Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal and finished by hand in vivid enamel lacquer, the hamsa measures 6.5 by 5 inches. The open cutwork lettering and layered painted detail give the piece depth and texture. Lightweight at just under an ounce and a half, it hangs easily on a wall in an entryway, kitchen or living room.

Gift Ideas

Colorful and meaningful, this hamsa makes a natural housewarming or wedding gift, especially for a couple setting up a new Jewish home. It also suits a bar or bat mitzvah, engagement or anniversary, where its blessing feels especially fitting. The bright, cheerful palette makes it a welcome gift for nearly any happy occasion.

Care Instructions

Dust the hamsa gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the enamel colors bright. Avoid moisture and abrasive cleaners, and hang it away from direct sunlight to preserve the painted finish over time.
