Intro

Bring a burst of color to any shelf or entryway with this hand painted Hamsa stand. Cut from metal, it frames a lively Jerusalem cityscape of domes, arches, and palm trees beneath a bright sun, with the word Shalom set across the center. The Hamsa itself is a familiar symbol of protection and blessing in Jewish homes. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has filled Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal and finished by hand in vivid color, the piece stands upright on its own weighted base, no mounting needed. It measures 9 x 7 x 2 inches, sized for a shelf, mantel, or entry table. The open, filigree-like cutwork lets light pass through the scene, adding depth to the Jerusalem design.

Gift Ideas

This colorful Hamsa stand makes a fitting housewarming gift for a new home, and suits a wedding or engagement just as well. It also works nicely for a bar or bat mitzvah or an anniversary, especially for someone with a connection to Jerusalem. Its bright, welcoming look makes it a piece people enjoy giving and receiving well beyond any single occasion.

Care Instructions

Dust the stand with a soft, dry cloth to keep the painted surface bright. Avoid water and household cleaners, which can dull the color, and keep it away from direct, prolonged sun exposure.
