Intro

Add a bright symbol of life to any wall with this hand painted Chai wall hanging. Cut from metal in the shape of the Hebrew letters that spell Chai, the piece is layered with color: hamsas and evening eyes on blue, flowers on gold, pomegranates for blessing, and Stars of David scattered across deep indigo. Chai represents life itself, a word Jewish households have long displayed with pride. Designed by Jerusalem artist Yair Emanuel, whose work has graced Jewish homes for over two decades.

Build and Use

Cut from metal and finished by hand in layered enamel paint, the wall hanging measures about 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall. A hole at the top allows it to hang directly on a wall or door. Each section carries its own motif and color, from orange pomegranates to purple button patterns, giving the piece a mosaic-like richness up close.

Gift Ideas

Bright and symbolic, this Chai wall hanging suits a housewarming, a wedding, or a bar or bat mitzvah with equal ease. It also works well for an engagement or anniversary, or for anyone setting up a new Jewish home. Its small size makes it a thoughtful, easy to display gift for nearly any occasion.

Care Instructions

Wipe the metal surface gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the colors bright. Keep it away from moisture and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the painted finish.
